Tony Cascarino slams "tamest" Chelsea display

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino suggests that there are problems behind the scenes at the club following their 2-1 defeat to Leicester City.

Former Chelsea striker Tony Cascarino has claimed that the Premier League champions were "outplayed" and "outfought" in their 2-1 defeat to Leicester City last night.

Goals from Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez were enough to send the Foxes back to the top of the table, while Chelsea fell to their ninth league defeat of the season and remain just one point clear of the relegation zone after 16 games.

Chelsea legend Frank Lampard played down the possibility of problems behind the scenes after the game, but Cascarino believes that Jose Mourinho could be beginning to lose the dressing room.

"Frankie Lampard said after the game last night he doesn't believe there's a problem between the players and the manager, but there has to be," he told talkSPORT.

"If you're a successful team and you start losing football matches and you're not doing as well as you can, people make your voice known and you're heard in the dressing room.

"Last night was probably one of their tamest performances because Leicester outran them, outfought them and outplayed them in every department."

Chelsea have now won just one of their last seven league games, picking up a total of four points from a possible 21 in that time.
