Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte has said that he was pleased with his side's reaction to conceding three goals in 27 minutes against Bayern Munich.
The German giants dominated the opening half-hour in Singapore, but Chelsea hit back with goals from Marcos Alonso and Michy Batshuayi to eventually lose by a 3-2 scoreline.
While Conte will be disappointed with the defeat in the International Champions Cup fixture, he has praised his players for how they contested the remaining 60 minutes of the contest.
The 47-year-old told the club's official website: "We conceded three goals in half an hour and it's not simple, it was a difficult situation but the reaction was very good.
"We didn't give up and the commitment was good. We tried to fight. Our start wasn't good but the players showed me a great will to try to change the result. We are only in pre-season and we are working very hard.
"Bayern are a top club, one of the best in the world. Regularly they win the league in Germany and in the Champions League they normally reach the final or semi-final, but we must take the positives and continue to work."
Chelsea will remain in Singapore to face Inter Milan on Saturday.
