Victor Moses has thanked Wigan Athletic coach Roberto Martinez following his move to Chelsea.
The Nigerian winger joined the Champions League winners last month in a deal worth around £9m.
Moses believes that the similar playing styles employed by Martinez and Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo will help him settle at Stamford Bridge quicker.
"Playing at Wigan developed my character," said the 21-year-old. "Roberto Martinez is a great manager and he loves to play football.
"Having a manager like him encourages you to play the football in the right way and carry yourself in a more professional way. It was great working with him.
"Now Di Matteo likes to play football the same way. They are similar. I think that will make it easier for me to adapt at Chelsea."
Moses could make his Chelsea debut on Saturday against Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road.
