Fernando Torres's former agent and ghost writer of his autobiography, Antonio Sanz, has claimed that there is a "bad atmosphere" among the players at Chelsea.
The former Premier League champions have endured an unsettling number of months due to poor results and speculation regarding the future of manager Andre Villas-Boas.
"Villas-Boas is not fulfilling Chelsea's expectations and he's really scared because he is really close to getting sacked," the Daily Mail quotes Sanz as saying.
"It's true that Fernando Torres's stats aren't that great and that's the reason he's not with Spain for the Venezuela game.
"But I don't think Torres has a problem, it's just that Chelsea aren't helping him find his form. According to Chelsea's players, there is a bad atmosphere in the dressing room."
The Portuguese boss recently admitted that he could lose his job at Stamford Bridge.
