Sports Mole selects five players that have made an impact in the Premier League over the past two evenings.

Football supporters around the country have been treated to the rare occurrence of all 20 Premier League clubs competing in domestic action over the past two nights.

Thirty-three goals were scored in 10 matches, as teams looked to reach their midway targets ahead of a packed fixture list over the Christmas period.

Below, Sports Mole picks out five players that have had made an impact for their respective clubs.

1. Luis Suarez

After seven goals in his previous three fixtures against Norwich City, the Canaries would have been fearing the worst when Luis Suarez was named in the starting lineup at Anfield on Wednesday evening.

It took just 19 minutes for their worries to be justified when Suarez volleyed a stunning 40-yard effort past John Ruddy to hand his team the lead, before firing in from inside the six-yard box moments later.

The Uruguay forward completed his hat-trick after 35 minutes, when he arrowed a perfectly-timed half-volley into the bottom corner from 18 yards after dancing past two Norwich defenders.

Suarez capped off a memorable performance with a delightful 25-yard free kick into the corner as Liverpool cantered to a 5-1 victory.

2. Eden Hazard

Earlier this season, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had been critical of the impact that his creative midfielders had been making since his return to Stamford Bridge.

However, Eden Hazard gave his coach a reminder of his ability with a virtuoso display at the Stadium of Light, having a hand in three of Chelsea's four goals.

After picking out Frank Lampard with a floated delivery after 17 minutes, the Belgian took centre stage with two fantastic individual strikes, the first of which saw him drive the ball home into the far corner from 20 yards.

His second saw him move away from goal before curling an unstoppable effort past Vito Mannone to help the Blues to a 4-3 success against the Black Cats.

3. Yaya Toure

Manchester City's away form in the Premier League this season has left a lot to be desired, and they faced a tricky test when travelling to The Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion.

However, after Sergio Aguero had struck in the ninth minute, Manuel Pellegrini's side never look like losing, largely thanks to a double from midfielder Yaya Toure.

The Ivorian's first was expertly directed into the bottom corner from eight yards, before the former Barcelona man stepped up to roll a penalty into the bottom corner with less than 20 minutes remaining.

The Baggies rallied to pull two goals back in the closing stages, but Toure's contribution had already helped City to a 3-2 win for their second away triumph of the campaign.

4. Marouane Chamakh

A few eyebrows were raised when Crystal Palace signed Marouane Chamakh during the summer after he had been granted a free transfer from Arsenal.

The Moroccan has endured a disappointing time in England since his arrival in 2010, and after netting just once in 11 appearances for the Eagles, he was beginning to come under pressure to contribute at Selhurst Park.

However, in Tony Pulis's second game in charge of the club, Chamakh repaid the faith shown in him by his new boss by netting against West Ham United on Tuesday evening.

The 29-year-old headed home shortly before half time to earn Palace just their third victory of the campaign to take them three points away from safety in the Premier League.

5. Vlad Chiriches

Vlad Chiriches has taken his time to make his mark at White Hart Lane after signing for Tottenham Hotspur in an £8.5m deal from Steaua Bucuresti during the summer.

However, after his side lost 6-0 at Manchester City, the Romania skipper has helped Spurs avoid defeat in their last three fixtures, including netting his first goal for the club against Fulham on Wednesday night.

After falling behind, Chiriches equalised for the North London outfit with a speculative strike from 25 yards that brushed the inside of the post on its way into the bottom corner.

It provided Tottenham with the platform to secure a 2-1 win at Craven Cottage, and Chiriches will be hoping to feature against Sunderland at the weekend.
