Queens Park Rangers have reportedly urged Anton Ferdinand to shake hands with John Terry before the side's FA Cup clash against Chelsea this weekend.
The two sides go head-to-head for the first time since the England captain was accused of racially abusing the QPR defender during the Blues' visit to Loftus Road in October.
The West London side are keen to reduce any tension between the teams and the supporters in a bid to deflect attention from the race row, according to The Mirror.
The former Championship side have already decided to increase security for the fourth-round clash.
