Chelsea will reportedly delay making a decision on Mauricio Pochettino's future as manager of the club until the end of the season.

The 51-year-old Argentine has faced mounting pressure due to a disappointing run of results this season, with just two wins in his side's last six matches across all competitions.

During that run of results, the Blues also suffered back-to-back defeats against Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers, conceding four goals in each match.

The Chelsea faithful made their feelings known in the side's 4-2 defeat against Wolves, booing the players during substitutions, at the break and at the final whistle.

After the game, Pochettino conceded that he and the players are currently "not good enough", telling reporters: "I think we are all not. At the moment, that is the reality. Myself, also, to be the first responsible for this situation.

"What we were showing today, that we are not good enough. I agree with you 100%. We didn't manage the situation properly and no-one can be safe. I don't want to come here and say I am the best. We are all responsible.

"Even the players. The players need to take some responsibility like I am taking the responsibility, also. I agree with you, at the moment, we are not matching the history of the club.

"That is true, we have to accept and we need to be critical and not give up. We need to keep working to try and change, maybe take a decision, try to find things in a different way."

According to football.london, despite the mounting pressure on Pochettino's future at Stamford Bridge, the club will maintain its support for the Argentine manager until the end of the season, at which point his position will be reassessed.

The Blues are currently in 11th place in the Premier League standings with 31 points after 23 matches, already trailing the top four by 15 points.

However, Pochettino's side are still in with a chance of winning silverware this season as they are still standing in the FA Cup and are set to face Liverpool in the EFL Cup final at the end of the month.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Southampton manager returned to England in July last year as the permanent replacement for Graham Potter.

Pochettino signed a two-year deal at Stamford Bridge with the option of a further year.

Chelsea will be back in Premier League action on Monday night when they make the short trip to Selhurst Park to face Crystal Palace.
