Valencia midfielder Sergio Canales has claimed that Chelsea's Oriol Romeu is interested in a loan move to the Spanish club.
The 21-year-old is expected to leave Stamford Bridge on a temporary deal this summer, with Celta Vigo understood to be another possible destination.
"I have spoken with Oriol and I say sincerely that he is very taken by the option of Valencia," Canales told Superdeporte. "This squad is perfect for a player to progress."
Romeu joined Chelsea from Barcelona in 2011 but has failed to make an impact with the Blues.
