Chelsea are reportedly keeping a close eye on the contract situation of AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.
The 6ft 5in shot-stopper is only 22 years old, but he has been the Rossoneri's number one for over five years now and has already racked up 235 appearances for Milan in all competitions.
However, the Italy international is yet to pen an extension on his existing deal at San Siro - which expires this summer - and he certainly would not be short of offers if he made a shock departure from Milan.
There is understood to be optimism over a new deal for Donnarumma - represented by Mino Raiola - but according to Eurosport, negotiations have stalled in recent weeks due to his £9.1m yearly salary demand.
As a result, the report claims that Chelsea would have no trouble forking out Donnarumma's desired wage if he moves to the capital, with the Blues still hopeful of selling Kepa Arrizabalaga in the upcoming window.
Donnarumma has kept eight clean sheets in 23 Serie A games this term as Milan sit four points behind league leaders and bitter rivals Inter Milan in the standings.
