Chelsea have re-entered negotiations with Tottenham Hotspur regarding midfield playmaker Luka Modric, according to reports.
The Blues tried to sign the Croatian at the start of last season, with reports suggesting that Spurs rejected a £40m bid.
Modric looks destined to leave White Hart Lane, with Real Madrid reportedly agreeing terms with the 26-year-old.
However, Chelsea are now hoping that they can hijack that deal and convince Modric to stay in England, according to the Daily Mail.
