Chelsea are reportedly preparing a fresh contract offer for Callum Hudson-Odoi despite the winger's season-ending Achilles injury.
Hudson-Odoi ruptured his Achilles tendon during Chelsea's 2-2 draw with Burnley on Monday night and now faces a race to be fit in time for the start of the 2019-20 campaign.
The 18-year-old had been heavily linked with a move to Bayern Munich having become frustrated with a lack of first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge, but the injury is likely to scupper any chance of that deal going through.
The Telegraph reports that Chelsea are keen to take advantage of that by offering Hudson-Odoi a new contract which they hope will convince him of their faith in his future.
The England international's current deal expires at the end of next season and he has already rejected a number of offers of an extension, in addition to submitting a transfer request in January.
Hudson-Odoi has started four Premier League matches in recent weeks, though, and could now be open to penning terms which would see him earn around £100,000 per week.
