Chelsea have reportedly decided that they are willing to pay as much as £50m for Bournemouth forward Callum Wilson if they are unable to sign Gonzalo Higuain.
Maurizio Sarri's side have endured issues in front of goal for the majority of the season, and it has now been 12 matches since the Blues last scored more than twice during a game in all competitions.
That return has led to the futures of Olivier Giroud and Alvaro Morata being thrown into doubt, and it appears likely that Chelsea will bring in at least one new frontman in January.
Reports have suggested that Higuain - currently on loan at AC Milan from Juventus - is Sarri's first-choice target, but according to Sky Sports News, Wilson remains on Chelsea's radar.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe has said that Wilson is not for sale at the midway point of the campaign, but it is being suggested that Chelsea could be willing to pay £50m for the England international.
The 26-year-old has contributed nine goals and five assists from 20 outings in the Premier League this season.
