Frank Lampard has reportedly informed Chelsea's board that he wants a resolution to contract negotiations with Willian.
Despite the playmaker continuing to hold down a regular first-team role under Lampard, as well as being handed more responsibility within the squad, the Brazilian has less than a year remaining on his deal.
While the 31-year-old has expressed a desire to remain at Stamford Bridge, the long-serving midfielder has also indicated that he is yet to receive an offer of fresh terms.
However, according to the Evening Standard, Lampard has told key figures behind the scenes that he wants Willian to stay past the end of the season.
The report adds that Lampard wants a resolution before January, with the winger able to to hold talks with foreign clubs if he has not committed his future to the Blues.
Willian has contributed three goals and three assists from 14 outings in the Premier League and Champions League this season.
