Leeds United are reportedly interested in signing Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley in the January transfer window.
The 27-year-old has failed to nail down a place in Thomas Tuchel's starting lineup and is open to a move away from Stamford Bridge to gain regular first-team football.
According to the Daily Mail, Leeds have emerged as a potential destination for Barkley as Marcelo Bielsa is hoping to bolster his midfield options in the winter window.
The report also states, however, that the Whites are not looking to splash the cash in January and are more likely to explore the loan market.
Leeds could face competition from other Premier League clubs including Burnley and Newcastle United, who are also monitoring the England international's situation.
Barkley, who has just over 18 months remaining on his contract, has made only eight appearances across all competitions for Chelsea this season, just two of which have been starts. body check tags ::
