Kylian Mbappe has reportedly made it clear to Paris Saint-Germain that he will not be leaving the club under any circumstances during this summer's transfer window.
The France international has refused to sign a new deal in Paris, with his current terms due to expire next June.
PSG allegedly believe that their star player has already come to an agreement with Real Madrid over a move to Bernabeu on a free transfer next summer and therefore the French champions are desperate to sell him in a big-money deal before the end of the market.
Mbappe has reportedly turned down a switch to Saudi Arabia this summer, while he is also highly unlikely to move to the Premier League despite claims of loan interest from the likes of Liverpool and Chelsea.
According to Sky Sports News, the World Cup winner has made it clear to PSG that he will not be switching clubs under any circumstances during the current market.
As a result, the 24-year-old could potentially be frozen out in the new season, with PSG determined to 'set a precedent' when it comes to the forward.
Lionel Messi has already left the club on a free transfer, while Neymar is also being strongly linked with an exit, with the Brazil international allegedly being told that he is free to leave.
Real Madrid remain the heavy favourites for Mbappe, but it is thought to be unlikely at this stage that the Spanish giants will be making a big-money offer, as they know that he wants to move to Bernabeu on a free transfer at the end of next season.
Mbappe will not play in his side's Ligue 1 opener against Lorient on Saturday amid the speculation surrounding his future in the French capital.
The Frenchman did not feature during PSG's pre-season tour of Japan, with club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi placing him up for sale after he refused to sign a new deal.
Mbappe has also not been with the first team in the build up to the new season, with the attacker instead believed to be training with the players who the club want to sell this summer.
The forward made the move to PSG from Monaco in 2017, initially on loan, and he has represented the capital giants on 260 occasions, scoring 212 goals and registering 98 assists.
Widely regarded as currently the best footballer in world football, Mbappe again starred at club level during the 2022-23 campaign, scoring 41 goals and registering 10 assists in 43 appearances.
The former Monaco youngster also scored eight times for France at the 2022 World Cup, including a hat-trick in the final of the competition against Argentina on December 18. body check tags ::
