Newcastle United have reportedly offered striker Demba Ba a new four-year deal with the club.
The 26-year-old, who has scored 16 goals this season, has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
A release clause in his current deal - rumoured to be around £7m - has also attracted interest from other clubs.
However, the Magpies will now tempt the Senegal international with a £50,000-per-week deal, according to The Sun.
Ba moved to the Sports Direct Arena from West Ham United on a free transfer in 2011.
