Newcastle United are reportedly closing in on a deal to take Chelsea winger Kenedy on loan for the season.
The 21-year-old has found himself cast out from Blues boss Antonio Conte's plans for the upcoming campaign after he was sent home early from the club's pre-season tour of the Far East for disciplinary reasons.
The Brazil youth international was also hit with a substantial fine by Chelsea following the incident, which had seen him post a number of offensive messages about China to social media.
According to The Mirror, Magpies manager Rafael Benitez has secured an agreement to bring Kenedy to St James' Park and will give him "a clean slate" and "an opportunity to shine" in the North-East.
Benitez has thus far been frustrated with Newcastle's relative lack of activity in the transfer market following the club's promotion back to the Premier League and has reportedly been told by owner Mike Ashley that he must offload players before he can make any new signings.
