Aston Villa have reportedly lodged an enquiry regarding the availability of Loic Remy.
The French striker joined Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers in the summer of 2014, but he has struggled to nail down a regular spot in the starting lineup at Stamford Bridge.
This season Remy has started just one Premier League game, with a further seven appearances coming off the bench.
According to France Football, that has alerted Villa boss Remi Garde, who is eager to bolster his attacking options during next month's transfer window.
The report adds that the move would initially be a loan, providing that an agreement can be reached over the 28-year-old's wages.
Swansea City, Southampton, Crystal Palace, Lille and Saint-Etienne are also said to have shown an interest in the centre-forward over recent weeks.
