Chelsea striker Timo Werner is reportedly planning to consider his future at the club at the end of the current campaign.
The former RB Leipzig man largely failed to fire in the 2020-21 campaign but still managed to end the season with a respectable haul of 12 goals and 15 assists from 52 games in all tournaments.
Romelu Lukaku's arrival has seen the 25-year-old slip down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge, though, and he has only started two of the Blues' six Premier League games so far this term.
According to the Daily Mail, Werner could contemplate an early exit from Chelsea if he fails to force his way back into Thomas Tuchel's starting lineup on a regular basis.
The report adds that Werner still wants to stay and fight for his place in West London, but he could head back to his native Germany if he does call time on his Blues career.
The striker remains contracted to Chelsea until 2025 following his £47.7m arrival in 2020. body check tags ::
