Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly set to rival Chelsea and Newcastle United for Everton forward Anthony Gordon.

The 21-year-old has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park this summer after Chelsea and Newcastle both made offers.

Newcastle's bid - which was believed to be in the region of £35m - was rejected, while Everton have also turned down £40m and £45m offers from Chelsea.

According to Football Insider, Everton could face further interest in their striker, with Tottenham set to enter the race.

After holding preliminary discussions, Spurs believe that they can agree a deal to sign Gordon before the transfer window closes.

Although Everton are reluctant to sell, they would consider allowing Gordon to leave if they receive an offer in the region of £50m.

The England Under-21 international is currently under contract with Everton until 2025. body check tags ::
