Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer rumours, including Beto to Everton, Callum Hudson-Odoi to Nottingham Forest and Giovani Lo Celso to Aston Villa.

Everton have reportedly made a fresh approach to sign Udinese striker Beto.

The Toffees supposedly sent a €25m (£21.5m) proposal to the Italian side for the 25-year-old earlier this week, which was swiftly rejected.

Sean Dyche's side are refusing to give up on the Portuguese attacker, though, and according to Fabrizio Romano, Everton have now come forward with a revised offer.

Romano states that the Toffees are now willing to go as high as €30m (£25.7m), although Udinese have instead pointed towards the €35m (£30m) release clause in Beto's contract.

However, negotiations are still progressing between the two clubs, who are now said to be working on the add-ons structure for a striker who has netted 22 goals in 65 matches for Udinese.

Everton went down 1-0 to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday afternoon, marking the first time ever that they have started a Premier League season with three successive defeats to nil.

Over at the City Ground, Nottingham Forest are apparently close to sealing an £8m deal for Chelsea outcast Callum Hudson-Odoi.

The former Bayer Leverkusen loanee - who failed to reignite his career in Germany last term - has been exiled from Mauricio Pochettino's squad and will leave before the window slams shut.

Everton, Fulham, Lazio and Forest have all been tipped to move for Hudson-Odoi - as have teams in Saudi Arabia - but according to football.london, Steve Cooper's side are on the verge of winning the race.

The 22-year-old is set to join the Tricky Trees on a permanent basis after Fulham baulked at Chelsea's £8m asking price, but he is yet to agree personal terms with Forest.

However, a transfer is expected to go through in the coming days, as Hudson-Odoi prepares to depart Stamford Bridge following a 16-year spell in blue, having joined Chelsea's academy in 2007.

The three-cap England international will leave with a record of 16 goals and 22 assists from 126 matches, but injuries have prevented him from reaching his full potential in West London.

While Hudson-Odoi is seemingly set to advance his career away from London, Aston Villa are said to have cooled their interest in Tottenham Hotspur's Giovani Lo Celso.

The Argentina international netted two goals under Ange Postecoglou in pre-season but has made just one substitute appearance in Spurs' opening three Premier League matches this term.

The 27-year-old could therefore still be on the move before the window slams shut, and given his success under Unai Emery at Villarreal, a reunion has inevitably been mooted.

However, Football Insider claims that the Lions are not actively pursuing a move for Lo Celso, having recently concluded a deal to sign Galatasaray's Nicolo Zaniolo on loan.

While Villa may be out of the running, the report adds that Lo Celso is still an option for La Liga champions Barcelona, and his Tottenham contract now has a little under two years left to run.

The midfielder has come up with eight goals and six assists from 85 games in a Spurs jersey, but Yves Bissouma, Pape Sarr, James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur are all ahead of him in the pecking order.

Finally, Ajax have supposedly earmarked Atlanta United midfielder Thiago Almada as an ideal successor to Mohammed Kudus.

Following weeks of speculation over the Ghanaian attacker's future, West Ham United have agreed a £38m deal for his services, leaving the Amsterdam giants in need of a late replacement.

According to The Athletic, Argentine World Cup winner Almada is a name on Ajax's radar, having set MLS alight with Atlanta since joining from Velez Sarsfield in February 2022.

The 22-year-old has scored eight goals and set up 10 more in 22 MLS outings for Atlanta in the 2023 season and was called up to the Argentina squad for their run to 2022 World Cup glory, although he played just six minutes in Qatar.

Informal discussions have supposedly been held between intermediaries, but Atlanta are digging their heels in and are ready to demand a record MLS fee to sell Almada.

The 2001-born playmaker - who is comfortable as a number 10 and out wide - is under contract with Atlanta for another two seasons. body check tags ::
