Sunderland filled their managerial vacancy this morning with the appointment of Gus Poyet.
The Uruguayan is no stranger to the Premier League, having played for both Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur, as well as taking on a coaching role at Spurs during Juande Ramos's stint at the helm.
He will also be familiar to Sunderland fans, who witnessed their new boss score one of the most memorable goals in Premier League history against them when he volleyed in Gianfranco Zola's lofted pass on the opening day of the 1999-00 season.
