Chivas USA have climbed off the bottom of the Western Conference courtesy of a 3-1 victory against Colorado Rapids at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.
Following a low-key first half with few chances created for either side, it was not until the hour mark that the game came to life when Erick Torres found a way past Clint Irwin to make it 1-0.
Deshorn Brown came close to bringing the score level when he connected with a cross into the box, but his header came back off the post.
The visitors pushed on and doubled their advantage thanks to substitute Marvin Chavez, who slotted past Irwin when played through on goal.
Chavez added his second of the night 10 minutes later when he found the bottom corner of the net with his strike, while Brown found the target late on to pull back a consolation for his side.
