The agent of striker Alexandre Pato has predicted that the Brazilian will be the "undoubted star" of the January transfer window, claiming that several Italian clubs have expressed an interest in signing the Corinthians forward.
Pato has been linked with a move to Arsenal and a switch to their North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in recent weeks after allegedly expressing a desire to return to European football following a three-year spell back in his homeland.
The agent of the former AC Milan striker, Riccardo Napolitano, claims that there are also two or three Serie A clubs keen on securing the services of the 26-year-old when the transfer window opens next month.
"Alexandre is back and determined to establish himself as one of the best strikers in the world," Napolitano told Calciomercato. "We are evaluating several options for him, he is a striker admired by many.
"In Italy there are at least two or three teams among the possible destinations, but of course we cannot say any more. The only thing that is certain is that Pato will be the undoubted star of the winter transfer market."
Pato has scored 38 goals in 95 games during a two-year loan spell at fellow Brazilian side Sao Paulo.
