Former England international Joe Cole has admitted that he is enjoying his spell in League One with Coventry City.
The 34-year-old, on loan from Aston Villa, revealed that Sky Blues manager Tony Mowbray was instrumental in convincing him to make the move to the Ricoh Arena.
The former Chelsea man told Sky Sports News: "I want to be playing football, I'm fit and it was just an opportunity for me.
"I met Tony [Mowbray] and I like the way he plays football, I like the way he sets his team up and it just suited everyone concerned, it was a good move and I am really enjoying my time there.
"I have always been advised to play on for as long as you can and if the body is still telling me I want to play, I will keep doing it."
The West Ham United academy graduate also admitted that it he now hopes to help Coventry get promoted back to the Championship.
Cole added: "It is exciting being in a team that is winning games and at the right end of the league, which they have not been for a long time.
"We have to just keep on concentrating on winning games and when you get to the end of January or early February, then you can start thinking that we could get promoted or win the league."
The Villa winger has scored one goal in three appearances so far during his loan spell with Coventry.
