Coventry City manager Steven Pressley has said that his side are in "a false position" in League One ahead of their match against Tranmere Rovers on Saturday.
The Sky Blues currently sit 13th in the table, 12 points adrift of the playoff positions following Tuesday evening's defeat at Carlisle United.
Pressley has conceded that Coventry have been hampered by the 10-point deduction that they received at the start of the season.
"I wouldn't say we're concerned about relegation but you can never neglect the position you're in," Pressley told Coventry's official website.
"But, I think it is important for everyone to remember that we're in a false position. If we'd won the other night, without the ten point deduction, we would've been in the playoffs.
"When you consider that, it has been a terrific season for what we've had to contend with. We are six points ahead of the relegation zone but it is a very tight league so we just have to concentrate on ourselves."
Pressley was appointed Coventry boss in March 2013.
