Two goals from Scott Dann have given Crystal Palace the lead against Dover Athletic in their FA Cup third-round clash at the Crabble Athletic Ground.
The Premier League outfit made a strong start, with Glenn Murray forcing Dover goalkeeper Andy Rafferty into a save after just two minutes.
Barry Bannan then forced Rafferty into a routine stop at his near post, with Wilfried Zaha waiting for a tap in.
Alan Pardew's Palace continued their early pressure, with Stuart O'Keefe and Murray forcing Rafferty into two quick stops to keep the score goalless.
However, Palace's dominance told in the 10th minute as Dann gave them the lead. A Zaha cross from the left was flicked on for the defender at the back post and he converted a simple volley from a few yards out.
Dann grabbed his second of the match 10 minutes before the break when he headed home Bannan's corner, moments after missing a chance to make it 2-0.
Non-league Dover failed to test Palace goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey, as the Premier League side maintained their two-goal cushion by the half-time whistle.
