Dagenham & Redbridge midfielder Joss Labadie has been banned from playing for six months after being found guilty of biting an opponent.
The 24-year-old was charged with violent conduct by the Football Association following his side's League Two encounter against Stevenage on March 21.
Despite pleading not guilty at a disciplinary hearing, Labadie has been punished for sinking his teeth into Stevenage defender Ronnie Henry.
It is the second time that Labadie has been sanctioned for biting. He was hit with a 10-match suspension last season while playing for Torquay United.
"Both the player and the club are awaiting the written report from the FA hearing before deciding their next steps," read a statement on Dagenham's official website.
Labadie has scored two goals in 27 appearances for the Daggers this season.
