FC Dallas have extended their unbeaten run in the MLS to three matches courtesy of a 4-1 victory over the Houston Dynamo.
The visitors took the lead in the ninth minute when Ryan Hollingshead raided upfield to the edge of the box before he rifled an effort past Tyler Deric into the bottom corner.
Dallas doubled their lead when Fabian Castillo released the run of David Texeira and the forward maintained his composure to bury an effort past Deric from inside the box.
The Dynamo got back into the game in the 32nd minute when they were awarded a free kick just outside the area and Giles Barnes curled an effort over the wall and into the top corner, leaving Dan Kennedy with no chance.
In the second half, Dallas restored their two-goal advantage when Mauro Diaz collected the ball on the edge of the box and beat two tackles before lifting a strike over Deric into the net.
The visitors secured their victory in the 55th minute when Diaz turned provider as he found Castillo in the box and the winger struck with the outside of his boot which beat the outstretched hand of Deric to find the bottom corner.
Dallas pushed for further goals and although Dynamo were able to keep the scoreline down, they still fell to a heavy defeat at the BBVA Compass Stadium.
