FC Dallas extended their lead at the top of the MLS Western Conference with a 2-0 win over Real Salt Lake, thanks to strikes from Fabian Castillo and Jackson.
The visitors started the game strongly and should have been ahead in the 13th minute but Luis Gil was denied by a good save with his feet from Chris Seitz.
Dallas responded and were likewise denied a goal by defender Nat Borchers, who cleared Kenny Cooper's goalbound shot off the line.
After the break, the hosts began to get a grip on the game and keeper Josh Saunders did well to stop Jackson giving the hosts the lead, when he parried his low effort past the post.
Dallas finally broke the deadlock as Castillo picked up the ball on the left and beat his man before firing his shot into the roof of the net giving Saunders no chance.
Jackson doubled the home side's advantage when he capitalised on an error from Saunders, who lost control of the ball at his feet, and his hooked shot trickled into the net.
It got worse for Real Salt Lake eight minutes before full time, when Yordany Alvarez was sent off for a second bookable offence for simulation, as the hosts closed out the win.
