Chicago Fire have crept into the playoff spots in the MLS Eastern Conference thanks to a 3-2 win over FC Dallas in Texas.
Frank Klopas's men trailed Philadelphia Union by three points before tonight's result, but they are now ahead on goals scored.
Juan Anangona broke the deadlock in the 24th minute and Mike Magee doubled the visitors' advantage three minutes before the break.
Jalil Anibaba seemed to put the points beyond doubt in the 52nd minute, but Kenny Cooper made things interesting with just under half an hour left to play at Dallas Stadium.
Further hope was restored when Gonzalo Segares brought down Jackson, allowing Cooper to reduce the deficit to one goal with just over 15 minutes remaining.
However, the home side were not able to find a leveller before the final whistle, which means that they are eighth in the Western Conference, four points behind Vancouver Whitecaps.
