Derby County manager Steve McClaren has praised Thomas Ince for slotting into the team easily after his brace helped the Rams to a 4-1 win over Bolton Wanderers.
Ince joined Derby on loan from Hull City on deadline day and his debut went perfectly as he opened the scoring after 20 minutes before adding a second shortly after the break.
McClaren told reporters: "We knew we had to be patient if we didn't score in the first 20 minutes and it was a beautiful goal to start off from Tom Ince. The first goal was always going to be important and it was a cracker.
"He's slotted into our team and he's done that in training since day one. It looked like Tom had been in the team all season. The key thing is Tom can score goals, he's got that knack. He wants to score and he can handle the ball, it's a great debut for him."
Ince also spent a spell on loan at Nottingham Forest earlier in the season.
