Eintracht Frankfurt have beaten APOEL in the Europa League to round off their Group F campaign in style.
The opening 15 minutes went by without a decent effort on goal for either side, but Frankfurt missed the chance to take the lead when Stephan Schrock found Jan Rosenthal in the box, who hammered his shot over.
Armin Veh's side went close again moments later. The ball bobbled around in the area from a corner, before Marco Russ managed to direct a shot at goal. However, a combination of defender and goalkeeper saved APOEL.
Frankfurt continued to pose a threat, but the same could not be said of their opponents, who lacked a cutting edge going forward in the first half.
Takashi Inui then made a run into the box and was found by Srdjan Lakic, but the midfielder's shot was saved and came back off him for a goal kick.
Constant Djakpa fired wide in the early stages of the second half, but APOEL almost took the lead when Felix Wiedwald saved Franco Vinicius's powerful header.
However, Frankfurt broke the deadlock with 67 minutes gone. Djakpa dummied the ball before curling it to the far post where Schrock headed home.
It was 2-0 shortly after. Schrock was brought down outside the box and Djakpa lifted his shot over the wall and under the crossbar.
