Eintracht Frankfurt have edged to a slender 1-0 victory over sixth-placed Borussia Monchengladbach, thanks to a first-half strike from Joselu.
Frankfurt were the first to threaten as they broke away with a fast counter-attacking move, but Tranquillo Barnetta could only fire his shot over the crossbar from outside of the box.
Stefan Aigner turned creator for the hosts minutes later when he threaded a ball through to Joselu, who slotted home into the bottom corner from the centre of the box.
Juan Arango almost replied for Monchengladbach with an effort from distance, which was saved at the bottom corner by Kevin Trapp, with the keeper also doing well to deny Max Kruse a few minutes later.
Martin Lanig thought he had increased Frankurt's lead with 20 minutes to play, but his effort was kept out by a diving save at the bottom corner as the final score was 1-0.
