Roy Hodgson has confessed that the recent form of Andy Carroll and Danny Welbeck has left him with "the classic manager's headache" ahead of England's final Euro 2012 group fixture against Ukraine tomorrow night.
With Wayne Rooney ready to return from suspension, Hodgson must pick which of the duo will partner the Manchester United frontman in attack.
After seeing both find the net during England's 3-2 win over Sweden on Friday night, Hodgson has admitted that he has a "difficult call" to make.
"Picking between Andy Carroll and Danny Welbeck will be a difficult call because both have done so well, in the friendly matches and in the tournament," he told reporters.
"They've given me the classic manager's headache and it's the headache we all want because the players are playing well. But I've made it clear Wayne Rooney will start the game."
Many reporters have tipped Welbeck to be given the nod ahead of Carroll.
