Jordan Henderson has backed England to put in an improved performance during their upcoming Euro 2016 qualifier in Slovenia.
The Three Lions prepared for next weekend's match by playing out a 0-0 friendly draw with the Republic of Ireland in Dublin on Sunday.
England struggled to pose much of a threat to Ireland during the game, but Henderson is confident that he and his teammates will be sharper against Slovenia.
"We have got a lot of work to do in preparing for the match with Slovenia but this was a good game for us to do that," the 24-year-old is quoted as saying by the Football Association's official website. "I think we will be a little disappointed with certain parts of the game and I think there are a lot of areas we can improve on.
"We kept a clean sheet and we are still unbeaten [this season], but we need to be a bit more clinical in front of goal and at finishing teams off. So that is what we will look to do this week. I think we are still in a good state, we go to Slovenia confident and hoping we can get three points there."
Henderson has made 21 appearances for England since 2010.
