Andros Townsend has been ruled out of England's upcoming internationals against Slovenia and Scotland through injury.
The 23-year-old has returned to Tottenham Hotspur where he will undergo treatment on a minor ankle injury, which was picked up before he joined up with the Three Lions squad earlier this week.
An FA spokesman said: "Andros will leave the England squad and return to his club. He reported for duty on Monday with an injury and will go back to Tottenham Hotspur for further treatment."
Michael Carrick also pulled out of the England squad for the Euro 2016 qualifier against Slovenia and friendly match against Scotland three days later having sustained a groin injury in training.
