Former England boss Sven-Goran Eriksson has revealed that he would accept the Chelsea job if he is approached.
Eriksson, who has also managed Manchester City, also admitted that he "understood" the reasons for the dismissal of Andre Villas-Boas on Sunday.
"Chelsea manager is a big job, it's one of the biggest you can find in this country," Eriksson told Sky Sports News.
When questioned whether he believed the job was impossible, he said: "Nothing is impossible. This time it is understandable. Something happened, I don't defend it, but I can understand it. If Chelsea don't play in Europe it will be a disaster for them."
The 64-year-old also voiced his desire to take the job if such an opportunity presented itself, adding: "I would take it, of course."
Eriksson is currently unemployed.
