Roy Hodgson admits "selection headache"

England boss Roy Hodgson admits that he has a "selection headache" for Tuesday's World Cup qualification clash against Poland.

England boss Roy Hodgson has admitted that he has a "selection headache" for Tuesday's World Cup qualification clash against Poland.

Hodgson rotated his squad for Friday's 5-0 win over San Marino, but he is expected to recall as many as six players for the clash in Warsaw.

"It is good to have selection decisions. I prefer to not put them in any sort of order. The players that came in against San Marino played so well, so that means you get more of a selection headache," he told reporters.

Meanwhile, Hodgson also commented on tomorrow's opponents, whom he believes will provide "a tough game".

"It is going to be a tough game. You never expect an easy game, we are very much aware that tomorrow is going to be a test for us but I would like to think that we will be ready for that test and we will play at the level that we want.

"It is always nice to have experience, but it is nice to have some younger players in the team. We will continue along that route. I think we have a good balance, but the key tomorrow is nothing more complicated than playing well."

England currently top Group H with seven points from three games.
