England striker Wayne Rooney has revealed his delight to be heading to the World Cup in Brazil without any fitness issues.
The Manchester United forward has struggled at international tournaments since his breakthrough at Euro 2004, with the last two World Cups seeing him carry injuries throughout.
Rooney has said that he is "ready to play" and is "feeling fit" after coming through another friendly without any problems in the 0-0 draw with Honduras on Saturday.
"I am happy going to this final feeling fit," Rooney told reporters. "I have played in every training session and I am excited.
"I am ready to play, ready to enjoy it and hopefully ready to do well. I feel good and obviously playing against Ecuador will have helped me as well after missing the games at the end of the season.
"I have trained hard feel good and am ready to play."
Rooney has earned 91 caps for England, scoring 39 goals.
