Javier Aguirre believes that his Espanyol side were 'unlucky' not to take all three points from their trip to Levante on Saturday.
The La Liga pair shared the points in a goalless draw in Valencia, but the Mexican has claimed that his team lacked "a little bit of luck in the final third".
"It could have been different with that first attack. From there we tried but we were bogged down in the game," Aguirre told reporters at a press conference.
"We didn't have clear chances but we had a few that could have gone in. We lacked a goal and a little bit of luck in the final third.
"We wanted three points and that wasn't possible. All I can do is praise the players for their performance."
The result left Espanyol in eighth spot in La Liga, while Levante sit ninth.
