Cristian Stuani has insisted that Espanyol have the credentials to push further up the La Liga table.
A strong run of form has left the Barcelona-based outfit in ninth spot, level on points with Sevilla and Valencia, who sit seventh and eighth respectively.
However, Stuani believes that there is more to come from Javier Aguirre's side following their 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao at the weekend.
"It was a lovely experience and an important result for us. Also, with what's left of the season, we can do so much more," he told reporters at a press conference.
"We hope we can get plenty of points and achieve our primary objective, so that we can then look at others.
"With the squad we've got, we're capable of pushing ourselves up there again and again. In the end, that's why we've got 32 points in the Primera."
Espanyol have won nine of their 24 matches this season.
