Everton manager Roberto Martinez has praised his charges for securing a point away at Lille in the Europa League, while also bemoaning the state of the Stade Pierre-Mauroy pitch.
Aiden McGeady had a long-range effort fly wide in the first half before having an effort saved late on, both sides sharing the spoils in a 0-0 draw.
Martinez told reporters after the game: "It was a very pleasing clean sheet, we knew Lille were going to throw everything at us and we coped with that. The pitch wasn't very good which effected both sides."
Everton and Lille meet again at Goodison Park on November 6.
