Roberto Martinez has heaped praise on Romelu Lukaku after the striker struck late on against West Ham United to rescue Everton's FA Cup hopes.
The Toffees were staring a fifth successive defeat in the face at Goodison Park until the Belgian forward found the target in stoppage time to cancel out James Collins's earlier header.
Having seen some of the pressure lifted off his shoulders following the equaliser, Martinez is hopeful that his star summer signing can now push on and score more goals.
"The whole week he has trained very well," he told reporters. "His attitude was perfect. Romelu at his best will change games. We carry a different threat with him.
"I was really pleased with his attitude showing real responsibility and maturity. In a period like ours you have two options, you can shy away and hide or you can take responsibility. Five defeats would have been very damaging but you always get an opportunity to win the next game."
Everton and West Ham will meet in a replay at Upton Park, with Doncaster Rovers or Bristol City awaiting the winner in the fourth round.
