Landon Donovan has revealed his 'excitement' in returning to Everton on a two-month loan deal from Los Angeles Galaxy.
The USA international has rejoined the Merseyside club for the next couple of months and believes that he is a "better player" than before.
"I'm more experienced and a better player than I was two years ago," said Donovan. "Before you get to the end of your career, mentally you get better and better.
"I feel I have grown a lot over the last two years. I've had a World Cup and I feel these may be the best few years of my career.
"It's good to be back. I got in last night and I almost feel like a kid coming here I'm so excited. I got to see a few old faces this morning. Unfortunately, the first one was Phil Neville's! It's good to be back and to see everyone."
The 29-year-old scored two goals during his previous stint with the Toffees last year.
