Everton have reportedly offered Frank Lampard the chance to become their new head coach.
The Toffees are on the lookout for a manager following Rafael Benitez's departure, and the likes of Vitor Pereira and Duncan Ferguson have been in the frame for the position.
However, Lampard - out of work since being relieved of his duties by Chelsea last January - has allegedly been offered the position at Goodison Park.
According to BBC Sport, the former England international could be confirmed as the Merseyside club's new head coach before their FA Cup clash with Brentford on February 5.
Benitez was relieved of his duties at Goodison Park following a run of just one victory from 14 league matches, with the team currently sitting 16th in the Premier League table.
Lampard's work at Derby County led to Chelsea offering him the managerial role at Stamford Bridge, but the 43-year-old was sacked in January 2021, with Thomas Tuchel his replacement in London. body check tags ::
