Everton manager Roberto Martinez has admitted that he has been impressed with the job that Garry Monk has done in charge of Swansea City, ahead of the two sides meeting on Saturday.
The Swans achieved their highest ever Premier League finish of eighth last season under Monk and have already taken points off the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United this term.
Martinez, who managed Monk during his spell as Swansea boss, says that the 35-year-old deserves praise for his work at the Liberty Stadium.
"I am a big admirer of what Garry Monk has done at Swansea, I do not see another manager who has had such a big influence over the last three seasons," the Spanish coach told BBC Sport.
"The team play with a strong philosophy, they are always competitive and in their last game they deserved to beat a team like Manchester United. It speaks volumes of where they are and where they can go. With Garry I feel many good things can happen to Swansea."
Everton currently sit seventh in the Premier League table, while Swansea are a place below in eighth.
