Atlanta United forward Josef Martinez has reportedly emerged as a potential transfer target for Everton and Newcastle United.
At the start of 2019, the MLS side allowed Miguel Almiron to leave for the latter of the Premier League duo, and it has seemingly encouraged the Magpies to take another look at the playmaker's former team.
According to The Chronicle, scouts have been assessing the development and form of Martinez, who has remarkably scored in his last 15 matches.
The Venezuela international has contributed a total of 26 goals and two assists from 27 outings, inevitably leading to interest from several teams in Europe.
The Toffees are also said to be monitoring the situation, potentially as a result of Cenk Tosun being linked with a move away from Goodison Park.
Martinez only penned a contract until 2024 at the beginning of this year.
