Bordeaux winger Malcom has reportedly agreed personal terms with Roma ahead of a proposed move to the Stadio Olimpico this summer.
A number of Premier League clubs have been credited with an interest in the Brazilian since the January transfer window, and Everton were thought to be in advanced talks over a deal earlier this week.
However, Malcom's agent recently suggested that Italy was his client's preferred destination, and Gianluca Di Marzio claims that he has now come to an agreement with Roma over a move to the capital.
The two clubs must still agree a fee, but Roma have reportedly submitted an offer of more than €35m (£31.3m) for the 21-year-old and are now awaiting a response from Bordeaux.
Roma's bid is thought to be lower than Everton's offer of around €40m (£35.8m), but Malcom's preference for a move to the Italian outfit could give them the edge in the race for his signature.
Roma have allegedly requested a response within the next 48 hours as they look to reinvest the money they received from Alisson Becker's world-record move to Liverpool.
