Fiorentina have secured their place in the last 16 of the Europa League with a 4-2 aggregate win against Esbjerg.
The Italian side, who had a 3-1 lead from the first leg, had the first chance of the evening. Matos was heading away from goal and shot on the turn from around the penalty spot, but couldn't keep it down.
Marvin Compper then nodded a header just wide from a corner before David Pizarro's long-range effort missed the target.
The home side opened the scoring with just two minutes played in the second half. Josip Ilicic lined up a free kick on the right-hand side about 25 yards from goal and clipped it over the wall and into the corner.
Mario Gomez thought he had doubled Fiorentina's lead after finding the net from Borja Valero's pass, but it was ruled out for offside.
Marko Bakic almost found the net moments after coming on for Massimo Ambrosini, but his half-volley fizzed just past the post.
Mikkel Vestergaard scored a late consolation for Esbjerg, but Vincenzo Montella's side had already done enough by that point.
